We're Back (Five Years Later, But Who's Counting)

Well. It's been five years.

Five years ago I sat down and wrote the first Krazed Living post — the who, the what, the why. I told you there'd be more "in the days ahead." Then life did what life does, and the days ahead turned into years. If you're one of the few who read that post back in 2021 and stuck around: thank you, and I'm sorry, and also — you're about to see why the wait mattered.

Here's the honest version: back then, Krazed Living was an idea. A good one, I thought, but still just words on a screen. "Live on Purpose." Sounds nice on a blog header. But I hadn't built anything you could hold yet. And I don't like asking people to believe in words alone.

So I went and lived it instead.

The short version of the last five years: I put weight on until I hit 425 pounds — then I took it back off, down to 295, one deliberate day at a time. My wife fought her own version of the same battle beside me. We kept working, kept raising our family, kept making the hard daily choices that nobody claps for. Not perfectly, not beautifully, just deliberately.

And somewhere in there, the idea stopped being an idea. It started becoming something you can wear.

That's what this blog is now: the story behind the shirts. KrazedLiving is a t-shirt brand — three designs to start, each one carrying a piece of what we've learned. Every one of them is something I've lived before I printed it.

Here's the point I want to leave you with today, the one thing worth saying after five quiet years:

Living on purpose isn't a slogan. It's a decision you make before the coffee's done, on a regular Tuesday, when nobody's watching and there's no applause coming. It's choosing the hard thing because the easy thing costs more later. I know that sounds simple. The simple things are usually the ones that work.

I'll give it everything I have to put a new post up every week — the story behind each design, where the words came from, what they cost me to learn. I can't promise perfect. But I can promise no fluff: if a post doesn't have a real point, it doesn't go up.

Thanks for coming back. Or for finding us the first time. Either way — welcome to Krazed Living. Let's live on purpose.
